What is Inner Peace?

We need to define this term. Inner peace is not a state of passivity, and certainly does not make life dull. On the contrary, it makes you more conscious, alive and happy. It helps you live life more fully.

Here is how Wikipedia defines it:
"Inner peace (or peace of mind) refers to a state of being mentally and spiritually at peace, with enough knowledge and understanding to keep oneself strong in the face of discord or stress. Being 'at peace' is considered by many to be healthy and the opposite of being stressed or anxious."

Inner peace means among other things that there is no overthinking and too much analyzing of every situation. It means no running from one thought to another, constantly ruminating about some past incident, no constant dwelling on hurts and what people said or did. It means no waste of time, energy and attention on unimportant and meaningless thoughts.

Isn't it better than being stressed, anxious with your mind speeding from one thought to another?

The Mind Is Like a Room Crammed with a Lot of Stuff

Suppose your room is crammed with furniture, books, papers, and a lot of junk. There is no free space, and you can hardly move in the room.

After living in this room for some time, you get used to it, no matter how uncomfortable and unpleasant it is. You might dislike it sometimes, but you do nothing to clean or rearrange your room.

This is the state of your mind. It is crammed with thoughts, fears, worries, and endless thinking. There is no room for new, different thoughts. It is in a state of tension and stress, always jumping from one thought to another, like a butterfly hopping from one flower to another.

Imagine that one day you decide to clean your room.

You take everything out of your room, emptying it completely. Now the room seems very big without all the stuff in it.

You clean and wash it, and then put back only the essential stuff. How do you feel now, when you are in your room? Isn't there an exhilarating feeling of joy? There is a lot of space, you can move freely and find everything easily.

Suddenly, you realize that you live in a big room, and this gives you a great feeling of joy and power. You realize that you were living in a limited and crammed environment. Now, there is more air, more space, and you can move and walk freely in the room.

This affects your whole life, because it gives you a feeling of freedom and more control over your life.

Did you lose anything of importance in this process? No, you lost absolutely nothing. You only gained a lot.

It is the same with your mind. When you empty it of unnecessary thoughts, fears and worries, your mind will be free, and you will enjoy inner peace. It would not be crammed with unnecessary thoughts and junk, which limit you and waste your time and energy.

You will then be able to think more clearly and be more focused.

Inner Peace Appears when You Empty Your Mind

Inner peace is like a clean and spacious room, empty of unnecessary, old, or broken stuff.

After you empty your mind of unnecessary and negative thoughts, it will be filled with happiness and light, and therefore, there wouldn't be anything to disturb your moods, behavior and reactions. You will experience inner peace and a sense of freedom.

Do you know realize what is inner peace and how important it is?

When you remove all the unnecessary and useless stuff from your mind you become more alive, because the negative and meaningless thoughts are gone, and you see and experience everything more clearly, like you never did before. It is like taking away a curtain that distorts what you see.

I hope that these words cleared, at least a little, what inner peace is.

सफलता (Success) एक ऐसा शब्द है, जो हर किसी को अपनी ओर आकर्षित करता है ।

जीवन में सफल होने की मंशा हर कोई अपने मन में पाले हुए है, मगर यह ऐसा नायाब उपहार है, जो सभी को नहीं मिलता । इसके हकदार तो सिर्फ वे लोग ही होते हैं, जिनके सिर पर कुछ कर गुजरने का जुनून होता है या फिर वे जो समाज में अपनी एक अलग पहचान बनाने के लिए आतुर होते हैं ।

आज के तकनीकी युग में युवा वर्ग जीवन में सफलता की सीढ़ी चढ़ने के लिए लालायित है, लेकिन थोड़ा-सा परिश्रम या फिर कड़ी मेहनत (Hardwork) के बावजूद नकारात्मक परिणाम उन्हें पूरी तरह से निराश कर देता है ।

यही वक्त मानव जीवन का अहम मोड़ होता है, क्योंकि ऐसे समय पर जो व्यक्ति हिम्मत हार कर असफलता को अपनी किस्मत मान लेता है, वे जिंदगी भर सिर्फ दूसरों की सफलता का दर्शक मात्र बन कर रह जाता हैं ।

मगर अपनी कमियों एवं खामियों को दूर कर सही दिशा में मेहनत करने का मार्ग चुनने और उस पर चलने वाले ही सफलता (Success) हासिल करते हैं ।

हालांकि ऐसे लोगों की सफलता की इबारत के पीछे कई बार मुंह की  खाने (हार) वाली कहानी भी छिपी होती है, क्योंकि जीवन में मिलने वाली अनेक विफलताएं ही व्यक्ति की सफलता का आधार रखती हैं ।

बस शर्त इतनी है कि व्यक्ति अपनी विफलताओं से सबक ले और दोगुनी ऊर्जा के साथ निर्धारित लक्ष्य (Goal) की ओर बढ़े। ऐसे लोगों के लिए एक शायर ने क्या खूब कहा है कि,

मंजिल उनको मिलती है, जिनके सपनों में जान होती है,
सिर्फ पंखों से कुछ नहीं होता, हौसलों में उड़ान होती हैं ।

अर्थात दृढ़ संकल्प और प्रबल इच्छाशक्ति (Willpower) से मंजिल पाने का सफर निरंतर तय करने वालों के सफलता कदम जरूर चूमती है ।

आज के युवा वर्ग को यह बात हमेशा अपने जेहन में रखनी चाहिए कि सफलता के आयाम स्थापित करने वाला व्यक्ति कोई भी हो, हम सब को केवल उसकी सफलता नजर आती है, मगर उसके पीछे का कड़ा परिश्रम, लक्ष्य पाने का जुनून और इच्छाओं का त्याग नहीं दिखाई देता ।

समाज में अनेक ऐसे उदाहरण (Successful People) है, जिन्हें आज का युवा वर्ग अपना आदर्श मानता है, मगर उनके सफल होने से पहले का संघर्षपूर्ण जीवन जानने तक की कोशिश नहीं की जाती । हां लोगों को नजर आती है, तो सिर्फ उनकी सफलता (Success) ।

कोई माने या फिर न माने, यह सच्चाई है कि हर सफल व्यक्ति का जीवन कभी न कभी संघर्षपूर्ण रहता है । हम इस बात से भी इंकार नहीं कर सकते कि जिंदगी का दूसरा नाम संघर्ष (Struggle) है ।

इसलिए आज के युवा वर्ग को यह बात समझनी होगी कि संघर्ष (Struggle), सही दिशा में की गई कड़ी मेहनत, विपरीत परिस्थितियों एवं असफलताओं की लंबी रात के बाद ही सफलता का सूर्योदय होता है ।

Positive Thinking Is a Way of Life

Positive Thinking Instructions and Advice

1. Read about this subject, think about its benefits, and persuade yourself to try it. The power of your thoughts is a mighty power that is always shaping your life. This shaping is usually done subconsciously, but it is possible to make the process a conscious one. Even if the idea seems strange, give it a try. You have nothing to lose, but only to gain.
2. Ignore what other people say or think about you, if they discover that you are changing the way you think.
3. Use your imagination to visualize only favorable and beneficial situations.
4. Use positive words in your inner dialogues, or when talking with others.
5. Smile a little more, as this helps to think positively.
6. Once a negative thought enters your mind, you have to be aware of it, and endeavor to replace it with a constructive one. If the negative thought returns, replace it again with a positive one. It is as if there are two pictures in front of you, and you have to choose to look at one of them, and disregard the other. Persistence will eventually teach your mind to think positively, and to ignore negative thoughts.
7. In case you experience inner resistance and difficulties when replacing negative thoughts with positive ones, do not give up, but keep looking only at the beneficial, good and happy thoughts in your mind.
8. It doesn't matter what your circumstances are at the present moment. Think positively, expect only favorable results and situations, and circumstances will change accordingly. If you persevere, you will transform the way your mind thinks. It might take some time for the changes to take place, but eventually they will.
9. Another useful technique is the repetition of affirmations. This technique is similar to creative visualization, and can be used together with it.
